You probably know me as a Python programmer who makes overly-edited videos on YouTube.
But, I’m not just a talking head on the internet! In my day job, I’m a senior research engineer at Penn State.
I’ve had the chance to dive into an incredibly diverse set of problems - everything from computer vision and natural language processing to writing custom optimization algorithms for complex decision problems. Along the way, I’ve worked with all kinds of data: remote sensing, time series, network graphs… you name it.
I’ve prototyped novel algorithms, built production-ready tools for analyst teams, and deployed scalable systems to the cloud.
But as my career progressed, I realized something… my favorite part of my job is mentoring other developers.
That’s what ultimately led me to YouTube - I wanted to help more people become better software developers.
